I wrote this poem after going out cross country skiing with Meagan one night, if you have ever been out skiing under the moonlit sky you will have a picture of what this poem is all about. I you haven't been out like this before, then you will also have a picture of what I saw but unfortuantly it will not even be close to how amazing it really is out like that, that is kind of what I was saying in the last three lines of the poem, most people look out at the snow and complain or they might glance at it and think it looks nice, but I think that very few just stand there away from everything and just look at the beauty of it.
Look Through My Eyes Come with me Look through my eyes Stand with me in the snow under the moonlit sky What do you see? I see the snow glittering. Shining under the light of a full moon I see each and every reflection Of which is more precious than diamonds Because a diamond you can keep forever But the smallest touch or track in the snow Will destroy the beauty you see forever. So look, Look and gaze at what you see Because you will be the last to se it At least that is in the way you have seen it tonight. Come with me Look though my eyes Stand with me in the snow under the moonlit sky What do you see? I see the love that has carried me to this place And allowed me to see what others can't Something that cannot be explained And also should not be As you must experience it for yourself. |
