Book Store Musings
Oh, there are few things
I more thoroughly enjoy
Than passing the day by
Pouring o're the smooth pale pages
Of tantalizing books.
Upon entering, the book store,
I long to
Drink in each thrilling word
Of novels, classics, how-to's
And mysteries, science-fiction,
Biographies, romances and
Glossy magazines.
And stroke the
Straight-lined journals,
Desiring to fill their empty pages
With thoughts and dreams
And my own words.
Perhaps,
One day,
My cursive words will
Find their place
On the book store's shelves,
For some other dreamer
To consume.
