This is a song I wrote, as is evident by the word "Chorus" spread through out it. I don't write very many songs anymore. Songs used to be all I wrote. I also used to write only in rhyme. Those of you who know me know that I hate rhyming. I find that it restricts my creativity and often sounds sing-songy by the end. Anyway, I can't read music, so I usually don't remember the tune to the songs that I write. Oh well. The lyrics are still nice, at least I think they are.
A single flower in a single field You think you have no one to turn to No one to protect you when the hail comes down And the very earth shakes beneath you But don’t give up For there is Someone watching over you (Chorus) Oh, Daisy, Don’t give up, little flower, The thunderstorm will be over soon And in the end it will make you stronger Trials and hardships keep coming down You don’t know which way is up Lightning blocks your every path You cannot see the sun behind the clouds But don’t despair, Soon there will be a rainbow in the sky (Chorus) God looks upon you, Upon every flower of every field He’s watching and protecting you, And wrapping his arms around you, little flower Even the richest king’s treasure cannot compare With the glory that your Father has clothed you in So don’t give up, little flower, For you are a Child of the King (Chorus) Don’t give up, Daisy, don’t lose hope For soon the storm will be over And a rainbow will appear. Oh, Daisy, Don’t give up, little flower, The thunderstorm will be over soon And in the end it will make you stronger
