The grass is green, So green and bright That it almost hurts your eyes Just looking at it. The trees look like Strong, brown hands Ready to catch the stars If they should ever fall From their appointed positions. The sky is blue, Blue like the innocence of a child's smile, Flowers dance to the music of the rain's laughter, Inviting the butterflies To spread their glorious wings And join them in their celebration. The moon is like a bright, Shiny new quarter, Filled with limitless possibilities And wonders. The very air Is perfumed with peaceful contentment And hope, and joy, and love, In the place That I call Home. |
