Morning Prayer

Father,
Grant that my day
May not be entirely free from adversity,
But that I may learn to rely fully upon You.

Lord,
May I learn to be like the humble brook,
v And joyfully sing Your praises to the world
Without fear or hesitation.

Grant that I may see the world,
Through Your loving eyes,
And reach out with Your nail-scarred hands
To lift others up to You.

May I be taught to live today
As though it were my last,
Let Your peace shine in my eyes,
And Your love be seen in all I do and say.

Amen.
